I based this design on the Dara Celtic knot. “Dara” is derived from the Gaelic word “Doire,” which means oak tree and symbolizes strength and inner strength. I included some oak leaves and acorns to create the overall pattern. I first printed this design on my everyday napkins, and liked it so much that I added it to my cotton totes printed with the wonderful lichen ink.

Bag size: Approximately 13.5 x 14 in.
Top handle height: Approximately 11 in. Convenient to carry by hand or on shoulder.
Material: 100% 5 oz natural cotton with a muslin-like texture. Soft, but sturdy, and easily folds up.
Finish: Compacted stitching throughout, cross-stitching at the handles.
Care: Prewashed and ink is heat-set. Best in cold-water wash, tumble dry on low.
